China, which landed a probe on the moon in 2013, now plans to be the first country to land a probe on the moon’s far side by 2020.

A rocket carrying the Chang'e-6 lunar probe blasts off from the Wenchang Space Launch Center in southern China's Hainan province. The Chang'e-6 seeks to collect samples from the far side of the Moon, a world first as Beijing pushes ahead with an ambitious programme that aims to send a crewed lunar mission by 2030. IMAGES
A Super Blue Moon rises over Sao Paulo skyline. The "blue supermoon" that rises on August 19, 2024, is the unification of a super Moon and a blue Moon. The term "blue Moon" has nothing to do with color but refers to the third full Moon in an astronomical season of four.
