At least 28 killed in suicide bombings in the Yemeni capital

At least 28 Yemenis were killed in the capital, Sanaa when two blasts occurred during evening call to prayers on Wednesday.The Islamic State has claim responsibility and said a suicide bomber, identified as Qusai al-Sanaani, detonated his suicide vest inside the Al-Moayad mosque in the Yemeni capital, where both Sunni and Shiite gathers in worship, a security official said.A car bomb detonated just outside the mosque as people were rushing in and out with the injured. At least 28 were killed and more than 50 were injured, a Yemeni official said.The attacks came just hours after two Red Cross employees were shot dead in the northern province of Amran in a rare case of violence against humanitarian workers, reported Al Jazeera.According to The New York Times, an Islamic State-affiliated Twitter account claimed responsibility of the bombings saying the attack was aimed at Houthis rebels.
