Chris Harper-Mercer, the gunman who killed 9 people at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon, apparently killed himself during a shootout with law enforcement officers, police have said.

Police officials examine the site of a bomb blast that killed at least 44 people and wounded more than 100 others Sunday.
