New evidence from United States intelligence agencies suggests an on-board explosion likely caused Russian Metrojet Flight 9268 to crash on October 31st.
U.S. intelligence agencies have intercepted communications that showed Russia believed the plane that crashed in Sinai, Egypt was brought down by a bomb, American sources familiar with the matter said on Monday, according to reporting by Reuters.
According to information received by Reuters, an airline mechanic may have helped plant the bomb which brought down a Russian MetroJet flight over Egypt in November.
A photograph released in an ISIS propaganda magazine shows a can bomb, which is the same kind of bomb that supposedly took down Russian Metrojet 7K9268 over Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula last month.
