Although pro-Western parties managed to oust the conservative Law and Justice (PiS) government in October 2023 elections, women are voicing anger and frustration over delays in changing the laws on women's reproductive rights. People, including families of hostages held in Gaza, hold a rally in Tel Aviv as Israel and Hamas resume fightings. Both sides blamed each other for the breakdown of the truce, which before it expired had enabled the release of 80 Israeli hostages in exchange for 240 Palestinian prisoners.
