Its hybrid engine puts in in the crosshairs of the Porsche Cayenne hybrid, too. It promises low running costs and a luxurious interior, but does it deliver?

The Toyota RAV4 is known for being reliable, spacious, practical, but also a little dull. Toyota has given it a refresh with a new look up front, some tweaked lights at the rear and a couple of updates to the engines and trim levels. You can get the RAV4 with a 2.0-litre D-4D diesel engine, a 2.0-litre petrol engine or a 2.5-litre V6 petrol mated to an electric motor - the RAV4 Hybrid. In this review we're testing the RAV4 2.0 D-4D with a six-sped manual gearbox to see if the changes make it competitive with the latest raft of family SUVs.
The Fiat 500's retro looks have ensured the car has found thousands of homes in the UK, and now Fiat has updated the popular city car. It's got slightly tweaked styling inside and out, more choices of colour and trim and the same range of petrol and diesel engines as before.
