US actor Kevin Spacey arrives at the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York for the final days of his trial over accusations he sexually assaulted fellow actor Anthony Rapp when he was a minor. Rapp, who stars in the series "Star Trek: Discovery," is claiming damages of $40 million against the two-time Oscar-winner for "emotional anguish," for what allegedly happened in 1986, when he was 14 and Spacey was 26. The victim of the Mazan rape case, Gisèle P., who was drugged and raped for ten years by her husband and scores of strangers he recruited on the internet, arrives at the court in Avignon before taking the witness stand. Christian Brueckner, the German man suspected of abducting missing British toddler Madeleine McCann, appears in public for the first time since being named in her case, arriving at a court in Braunschweig for the start of his trial on unrelated sex crime charges. German prosecutors have yet to charge Brueckner over Madeleine's disappearance, but in October 2022 he was charged with five separate counts of rape and child sex abuse allegedly committed in Portugal, where Madeleine disappeared, between 2000 and 2017.
