The EU's negotiator on Brexit, Michel Barnier, says that a deal with Britain looks "unlikely" at this stage. During the latest round of talks, completed this week, "it felt as if we were going backwards more than forwards," he says, adding: "I simply do not understand why we are wasting valuable time."
