Members of France's emergency services are already stationed in front of the holiday resort of Carry-le-Rouet, near Marseille, ahead of the arrival of 200 French citizens repatriated from Wuhan, the epicentre of the coronavirus epidemic. They will be placed under two-week quarantine before being allowed back home. IMAGES
One hundred forty six South Africans return to South Africa and are taken to a quarantine facility by bus after they were working and studying in Wuhan city, which was placed under lockdown for around two months after the novel virus was first detected in December. The returnees will only be released after they get a clean bill of health at the end of the mandatory quarantine. Around 200 French nationals and several foreigners are transported to a quarantine centre on the southern French coast after being repatriated from Wuhan in China to flee the coronavirus.
