Former France president Sarkozy arrives in court for corruption trial

Description

France's former president Nicolas Sarkozy arrives at court in Paris where he is on trial for corruption. He becomes the first French ex-head of state in the dock, risking a humiliating end to a career tainted by legal woes. Sarkozy's lawyer Thierry Herzog also appears in this case. Opened on Monday, the trial was immediately suspended because of the state of health of the former high magistrate Gilbert Azibert, 73, and his absence, in the context of the Covid-19 epidemic.
