Huge sinkholes appear in Croatia after strong earthquake

Description

About 40 kilometers southwest of the Croatian capital Zagreb, large sinkholes have appeared following December’s 6.4-magnitude quake that killed seven people and caused widespread destruction. While the appearance of sinkholes is not unusual following strong seismic activity, the large number and the speed at which they emerged is relatively uncommon. IMAGES
