Several dozen demonstrators try to get on the stage where President Cyril Ramaphosa was to make his annual speech on the state of the country, they are intercepted by the security forces present there. Before that, the demonstrators disrupted the ceremony and asked for the resignation of the South African president, as well as the end of power cuts in the country. The United States calls on Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to emphasize Ukraine's territorial integrity as he meets in Russia with President Vladimir Putin on the eve of a NATO summit in Washington. Russian President Vladimir Putin arrives in Hanoi, Vietnam, where he will pay a working visit after a stop in North Korea, where he signed a mutual defence pact with leader Kim Jong Un.
