Uyghur community members in Istanbul gather to protest the visit of the Chinese Foreign minister to Turkey. Rights groups believe at least one million Uyghurs and other mostly Muslim minorities have been incarcerated in camps in the northwestern region, where China is also accused of forcibly sterilising women and imposing forced labour. Protesters gather in Istanbul, Turkey, to mark International Women's Day as the country comes to grips with the latest case of a violent attack against a woman. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Turkey will establish a parliamentary committee to tackle violence against women after a high-profile incident outraged the country at the weekend. The latest case of violence to grab national attention was a video on social media purportedly showing a man beating his ex-wife in front of their five-year-old child on a street in the Black Sea province of Samsun.
