German group Douglas closes 20% of its perfumery shops across Europe

Description

The German perfume group Douglas, owner of the French Nocibé, announces the closure of nearly 20% of its shops in Europe, to concentrate on online sales, after the pandemic has caused a drop in its in-store activity. "About 500 of the 2,400 European shops will be closed by autumn 2022," the German group has said in a statement. A total of 2,500 jobs are threatened by these closures in Europe, company spokesmen told AFP. IMAGES of a Douglas shop in Berlin
