Some 200,000 people have now fled Sudan to escape fighting that erupted in mid-April, in addition to hundreds of thousands who have been displaced inside the country, says UN refugee agency spokesperson Olga Sarrado. SOUNDBITE
The fighting in Sudan has caused more than 100,000 people to cross the border, UNHCR spokesperson Olga Sarrado says. UNHCR, the United Nations' refugee agency, is estimating that more than 800,000 people could potentially flee to neighbouring countries as the conflict between Sudan's regular army and paramilitaries continues.
