Chad clashes: UN urges parties to 'refrain from violence, excessive use of force'

The United Nations says it is "concerned" about the use of force against protesters in Chad after dozens of people died as demonstrations against the military's grip on power turned violent. "We call on all parties to refrain from violence or excessive use of force," Stéphane Dujarric, the spokesman for Secretary-General António Guterres, tells reporters. SOUNDBITE
