A former Fairfax Police Officer has been indicted on a charge of second-degree murder two years after shooting an unarmed man in the doorway of his home in Springfield, Virginia, Northern Virginia Bureau Chief Julie Carey confirmed on Monday.
The officer-involved shooting that left one man dead Sunday will be investigated “very, very carefully,” according to Police Commission President Steve Soboroff.

A woman administrator was stabbed to death by a Tunisian man at a police station southwest of Paris on Friday, the local prosecutor's office and a police source told AFP.
