Emergency workers clean up in Hualien after deadly Taiwan quake

Emergency workers use heavy machinery in the eastern Taiwan city of Hualien after a powerful 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck the area on Wednesday morning. At least nine people died in the quake -- all in Hualien county -- and more than 1,000 were injured across the country. The earthquake is the strongest to hit Taiwan in 25 years. IMAGES
