Former president Donald Trump says the "real verdict" would be the US election in November after a New York jury convicted him on all charges in his hush money case on Thursday. "This was a rigged, disgraceful trial. The real verdict is going to be November 5, by the people. "These are all Biden trials," Donald Trump says as he arrives at a New York courthouse where prosecution and defense teams are set to present opening arguments in the former US president's historic hush-money criminal trial. "I'm here instead of being able to be in Pennsylvania, in Georgia, and lots of other places campaigning," he adds. Trump, 77, has been ordered by the judge to appear in the Manhattan court for the duration of the case, largely keeping him off the campaign trail for weeks as he challenges President Joe Biden for the White House in November's election.
