US Secretary of State Antony Blinken issues a dire warning that Ukraine's territorial gains against Russia are at risk without new aid approved by Congress. "Without it, simply put, everything that Ukrainians achieved and that we've helped them achieve will be in jeopardy," Blinken tells a news conference alongside NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg. "The answer here today at NATO is clear and it's unwavering. We must and we will continue to support Ukraine," Blinken says a meeting of the Western military alliance. "The United states would strongly support the NATO application by either Sweden or Finland should they choose to formally apply to the alliance," Blinken tells reporters after NATO foreign ministers met in Berlin. NATO allies have begun the promised transfer of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine to bolster defenses against Russia, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announces. "As we speak, the transfer of F-16 jets is underway, coming form Denmark, coming from the Netherlands," Blinken says at a NATO 75th anniversary summit in Washington. SOUNDBITE
New UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer says an upcoming NATO summit in Washington is an opportunity for him "to make clear our unshakeable support" for the alliance and to "reiterate" Britain's backing of Ukraine. Speaking after his Labour Party secured a landslide election win, ending 14 years of Conservative rule, Starmer says "the first duty of my government is security and defence." SOUNDBITE
