Speaker of parliament and presidential candidate Peter Pellegrini votes in the second round of Slovakia's presidential election in the capital Bratislava. Final pre-election polls put Pellegrini, a Ukraine-sceptic backed by the ruling populists, and pro-Western candidate Ivan Korcok neck-and-neck, with Pellegrini gaining 51% of the vote and Korcok 49%. "I'm hoping to get at least 55% of the votes for president," says opposition candidate and leader of the Democratic Green Party Frank Habineza, after casting his ballot in Kigali. This as incumbent candidate, President Paul Kagame, is widely expected to win another term and extend his iron-fisted rule for another five years. In 2017 Habineza won just 0.48 percent of the vote.
